Position Title: PROJECT ESTIMATOR AND PROCUREMENT LEAD

If you're a detail-driven professional who knows print inside out -- from substrates and finishing to fabrication and installation logistics -- and you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this role is for you. Skills must include but are not limited to, knowledge of a manufacturing and production supplier base, estimating, purchasing and production coordinating at various levels within several traditional print mediums - in particular large format print and fabrication. The successful candidate is an effective communicator at all levels of an organization who possesses strong leadership, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills. You'll be the central hub connecting estimating, procurement, and production. This role is critical in ensuring projects are accurately costed, materials are sourced strategically, and production timelines are supported from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze project requirements, drawings, and specifications to determine material, labour, and production needs.
Create detailed, accurate estimates for short run print, litho, large format print, fabrication, and installation projects though MIS system.

Perform detailed cost analysis to ensure competitive and profitable project outcomes.
Estimate and plan for colour layout requirements, with a strong understanding of litho and print processes to maintain consistency and quality across production.
Assess finishing timelines and capabilities, ensuring accurate scheduling and resource allocation for cutting, laminating, mounting, and assembly processes.
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and fabricators to obtain competitive pricing and manage purchase orders.
Evaluate production methods and recommend cost-saving or quality-enhancing alternatives.
Support Project Managers and Sales with budget forecasts, bid documentation, and timelines.
Maintain and update pricing databases within the company's MIS platform.
Implement quality assurance checks to mitigate production risks.
Stay informed on new materials, print technologies, and fabrication trends to improve quoting accuracy and innovation.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Managing Director.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in large format print, fabrication, or display manufacturing (supplier-side preferred).
Deep knowledge of substrates, finishing techniques, and installation best practices.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and print/MIS systems (Accura MIS experience is an asset).
Strong analytical and mathematical skills for accurate estimating.
Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present professionally to both internal and external stakeholders.
Highly organized, multitasker with the ability to manage multiple quotes and deadlines simultaneously.
Team-oriented, collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and motivate others.
A proactive problem solver who thrives on detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
