Successful candidate must have experience in the Commercial Aluminum & Glass Glazing industry as an estimator and project manager.
At a very high level, the candidate on this position will be focusing on preparing commercial building projects Aluminum & Glass Glazing Estimates, Shop Drawing, managing orders and projects, and coordinating with general contractors and staff to insure a clean execution of projects till their completion.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Review and understand Architectural drawings and Blueprints.
- Identify scope of work, review specifications and addendums for prospective projects.
- Do material take-offs, prepare documents - Reuest for Quote (RFQs) for supplier price quptes, Estimate sheet and Bid proposals for the assigned projects and submit bids to clients honoring their submission timeline.
- Send request for price quotes, track and work/purchase orders for all material procurement.
- Collaborate with staff and glazier team and provide needful guidance as required.
- Review and make changes to estimates as per post-tender addendums and answer queries from and/or provide requested documentations to clients/contractors.
- Obtain and track subcontract bids and negotiate budgets.
- Track and maintenan job/project documents, job schedules and keep their status up to date.
- Attend project meetings, client meetings, senior management and other meetings whenever required.
- Manage current and future projects and track job progress and changes to alert operations management to delays, issues etc.
- Process submittals and project approvals.
- Liaison with clients, build relationships with various stakeholders.
- Prepare shop drawings for the awarded projects as needed.
- Maintain record of and provide all documents to company that are associated internally or externally with company/clients/contractos/suppliers/others etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications include:
Mandatory experience with below services and multiple framing systems from North American suppliers like OldCastle, Alumicor, US Aluminum, Kawneer etc.
Window, Doors, Curtain Wall, Storefront, Framing, Skylight, Canopy, Hand Railings, Shower Doors, Mirrors etc.
Exceptional teamwork and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
Hands on experience with flow charts, spreadsheets, technical documents (blueprints/specs).
Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
Experienced professional, preferably within large-scale commercial glazing projects.
Solid organizational and time management skills with ability to work in fast pace environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, Estimating Software tools, and General Computer skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Progressive, quick learner with strong mental ability.
Great sales skills.
Solid knowledge of AutoCAD and other Architectural and Drawing tools.
EDUCATION:
1/2/3 + years Apprentice, Journeyman.
Graduate/Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in relevant field.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires the employee to work in a fast pace office environment and may require multiple site visits for projects.
The candidate must be respectful as we have zero-tolerance behavior policy.
The candidate must be able to sit, stand for extended periods of time, possess a valid driver's permit and the ability to work odd/ extra hours to accommodate project deadlines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires high levels of mental acuity, keyboarding skills, ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time, occasional exposure to inclement weather may be required.
Project estimating experience within $10,000 to $70,000,000 project scopes.
SCHEDULE:
Monday to Friday, 8 hour a day shift or as mutually agreed with the employer.
May need to work off-shift if required to meet critical project deadlines.
EXPERIENCE:
Commercial Glazing Estimation: 2+ years (required)
Project Management: 1+ years (preferred)
