Title: Contract Project Engineer Location: Toronto (Onsite)

Developing capital project requirements to secure funding
Leading conceptual, basic and detailed engineering design for small and mid-size projects up to $3 Million
Ability to manage multiple small to mid-size projects simultaneously adopting Early Management TPM methodology (new design to project handover)
Resolving issues and project conflicts
Influencing within cross-functional team members without direct authority
Monitoring and controlling projects deliverables for variance in scope, schedule, budget and risk
Communicating project status to various stakeholders from front-line personnel through to senior management
Developing optimum technical solutions in collaboration with Manufacturing, SHE and Quality Assurance to meet the business need and regulatory requirements
Being responsible for the User Requirement Specifications, procurement, installation, commissioning, qualification, verification and hand-over of capital projects
Championing Environmental, Health & Safety awareness through all project stages
Managing professional consultants, contractors and suppliers
Participating/collaborating with external resources to obtain required project deliverables
Applying technical expertise and project management principles during all project stages
Performing work in according to Nestle compliance standards from Procure to Pay
Requirement:
3-5 years experience in Project Management
Experience in managing building construction projects with basic knowledge of structural elements, GMP building design and requirements, and production rooms
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Industrial),
Nice to have - PMP Certification - 5 year experience in Food, Confectionery, Ice Cream or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Filling, Packaging, Robotics and Automation environment. - 5+ years Experience in preparing, reviewing and / or validating engineering drawings, scopes of work, cost estimates, engineering instructions, user requirement documents, technical request for quotations, bid analysis, best value options analysis, single line diagrams, P&IDs, control and network architecture drawings, process flow sheets, etc. - Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code / Canadian Electrical Code - EIT or PEng Certification - 5+ years experience in end-to-end project management
Soft skills: -Excellent project management skills and contractor management skills - Strong knowledge of Good Engineering Practices, current GMPs, building codes, mechanical and electrical standards and applicable legislation - Sound analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills - Strong interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, organization, communication and conflict resolution skills - Ability to work in a multi-task environment, with multiple projects, with cross functional teams and independently
