Job Description

We are looking for a project engineer to join RKM Services Ltd. to manage and coordinate various projects in the heavy construction industry. RKM Services Ltd. specializes in mechanical & structural project execution. Preference given to those from a mechanical or structural engineering background and/or experience working in an industrial setting.

The job will based from our Kamloops office.

Requirements:

Motivated self-starters with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously Comfortable working in a dynamic industrial work environment with a range of engineering, technical, operational and trades personnel Willingness to work outdoors and able to operate light vehicles at industrial sites, in various weather conditions and terrain Willing & able to wear half mask respirator for extended durations, climb ladders and be comfortable working in a noisy/dusty environment. Job involves lots of walking, stairs, and ladders / scaffolding Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate effectively to all levels Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Fluent in

spoken and written English


Responsibilities:

Be a safety leader, adhering to and sponsoring safety and environmental rules and policies Preparing project estimate development plans, project budgets and schedules Reviewing engineering drawings or reports, and using this information to prepare practical execution work plans Managing procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracts Coordinating project activities throughout lifecycle, including the development of job plans, allocation of appropriate resources, schedules, documentation, budget and other elements necessary for the success of the project Coordinating the efforts between varying trade groups and/or contractors to ensure safe and efficient execution, removing roadblocks, planning and staying ahead of the work force with execution plan. Field Review of job progress - update the execution schedule's progress, schedule, and anticipated work force or resources Ensure repair specifications are met and that repair quality aligns with required standards.
Qualifications:

BSc. Engineering, EIT or P.Eng. with Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) or eligible for professional registration with EGBC Mechanical or Structural preferred, but also considering candidates with Mining, Civil or Geotechnical specialization
Travel will be required to job sites. Travel costs are reimbursed. Work hours may exceed the typical 40 hours / week when working at site, but candidate would be OT eligble and cost reimbursble for these jobs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
