Job Summary
The Project Delivery Lead is responsible for leading the delivery of complex engineering scopes while acting as a primary interface to key clients, partners, and suppliers. This role blends technical delivery leadership, corporate development strategy, project management discipline, and supply-chain development.
This role sits within FFC's Delivery organization and supports the execution of specialized, safety-critical engineered systems for fusion fuel-cycle applications.
The Project Delivery Lead will:
Lead and backstop delivery execution across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and testing
Serve as the primary delivery and relationship lead for select strategic clients and partners
Build and mature a scalable, resilient supply chain aligned with FFC's long-term commercialization goals
Act as a bridge between technical teams, commercial leadership, and external stakeholders
The role will initially span Delivery, Commercial, and Operations functions as the organization scales.
Serve as the primary delivery and relationship lead for select strategic clients and partners, owning both execution and day-to-day engagement.
Lead the delivery of defined scopes of work while actively developing the relationship beyond the initial mandate.
Develop a deep technical understanding of client and partner systems, constraints, and objectives to ensure high-quality delivery and trusted advisory engagement.
Lead bid preparations for projects that require a cross functional team aligning and coordinating internal resources available from FFC and parent companies.
Identify and shape follow-on opportunities by translating technical insight and delivery learnings into new scopes, expanded partnerships, or commercial pathways.
Act as a bridge between technical teams and commercial leadership, supporting opportunity development, scoping, and internal alignment.
Support elements of corporate development and partnership strategy, including early-stage engagement, proposal development, and delivery-backed growth initiatives.
Support and lead planning, execution, and tracking of engineering delivery workstreams.
Own project schedules, risk registers, dependency tracking, and milestone reporting.
Backstop PM activities across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and testing.
Ensure disciplined scope, change, and issue management.
Lead the development of a supply-chain strategy for FFC's engineered systems, aligned with delivery, cost, quality, and risk objectives.
Build and maintain a sustainable network of qualified suppliers, fabricators, and engineering partners, capable of supporting first of a kind (FOAK) programs and future commercialization.
Establish and document supplier selection, onboarding, and performance management processes, in coordination with Procurement and Engineering.
Support and lead commercial negotiations with key suppliers.
Translate delivery and execution learnings into repeatable sourcing strategies, preferred-vendor frameworks, and long-term supplier relationships.
Act as a primary interface between suppliers and internal teams.
Growing and strengthening FFC's client and strategic partner relationships, serving as a trusted delivery and technical interface.
Successful delivery of assigned projects and scopes of work, including schedule, cost, quality, and risk outcomes.
Building and maturing a robust, scalable supply chain, capable of supporting FOAK programs and long-term commercialization.
Translating delivery execution and technical insight into repeatable commercial, operational, and supply-chain capability.
Providing clear, structured inputs to leadership to support strategic, commercial, and investment decisions.
Required Strengths and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical, or related discipline).
8-12 years of combined experience across engineering delivery, project management, consulting, business or operations.
Demonstrated ability to own client and partner relationships while delivering complex technical scopes.
Strong understanding of engineering design, fabrication, testing, and delivery lifecycles.
Proven experience working with and managing external vendors, suppliers, and technical partners.
Strong business judgment with the ability to balance technical, commercial, and strategic considerations.
Excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and negotiation skills.
Outstanding communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario (or currently licensed).
MBA or equivalent business training strongly preferred.
Experience with first of a kind (FOAK) design in an R&D environment.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, especially, CSA N285.0, N299, ASME, B51, NBCC, NFCC is an asset.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Experience with project management tools and software.
Experience in strategic partnership development, key-account management, or corporate development-adjacent roles.

Pay: $130,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
