Project Delivery Lead

Job Description

The Project Delivery Lead oversees the development and implementation of Redpath's Project Delivery Guidelines and ensures project operations meet quality and client satisfaction standards. They support project planning, performance reviews, and system improvements, while coordinating with Operational Managers to monitor and enhance project outcomes.



Team Leadership & Development:



Recruit, develop and retain project delivery team members within an authorized workforce budget Supervise, lead and mentor subordinates to ensure that operational deliverables are met Develop and coordinate project management training programs aligned with the Project Delivery Guidelines

Project Oversight & Execution:



Oversee the setup of new projects, including timekeeping, cost tracking, coding structures, and document management. Manage and update project costs, budgets, and schedules while implementing budget controls, cost allocations, and financial forecasting to ensure financial efficiency and alignment with project objectives. Maintain and monitor earned value management (EVM) metrics, cost indices, and project performance tracking. Develop automated reporting and dashboards for real-time project performance tracking. Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports to support decision-making. Monitor and analyze trends impacting cost, schedule, risks, and project scope, ensuring proactive issue resolution. Implement and maintain Management of Change (MoC) processes to track and control project modifications. Perform construction change order analysis and claims tracking to mitigate financial and contractual risks. Monitor risk trends and site statistics, providing insights into potential project impacts. Maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and data accuracy. Manage meeting documentation, action tracking, and approvals to ensure project continuity. Finalize close-out reports, cost tracking, and production data documentation for future reference. Store and analyze historical project data to support continuous improvement and benchmarking. Capture and implement lessons learned to enhance future project planning and execution. Lead, mentor, and develop project controls personnel, ensuring adherence to industry best practices. Monitor team performance and skill development to enhance operational effectiveness. Advise and guide Operations Managers on best practice risk management and mitigation planning techniques Maintain strict confidentiality and controlled document access to protect sensitive project and business information.

Standards & Compliance:



Oversee continuous updates to and the maintenance of the Redpath Project Delivery Guidelines Oversee the building of new project management process templates and relevant standards Liaise with internal departments to ensure compliance with the Project Delivery Guidelines Audit job site compliance with Redpath Project Delivery Guidelines Lead and perform periodic audits of project execution plans and site team compliance Evaluate and ensure adherence to the Redpath Change Management process

Performance Monitoring & Risk Management



Coordinate, schedule meetings and document lessons learned during project execution Participate in estimate reviews and provide feedback to the Estimating department Provide guidance in the implementation of effective 7/21 planning and short interval controls, including the use of iPads (or similar) devices underground, as used by operational mining or other personnel Drive the promotion and adoption of project management best practices in line with the Project Delivery Guidelines The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive

Education:



Post secondary education in Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Engineering is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Qualifications and/or certificates in Project or Construction Management is considered an asset

Work Experience:



10+ years' experience in managing or monitoring construction projects with exposure to underground development, shaft sinking and mining operations; Track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment; Experience of successfully engaging senior management and groups of stakeholders; Experience of successfully managing the delivery of multiple projects; Experience of managing business change; and Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, financial management, change management and facilitation.

Knowledge and Attributes Required



* Highly computer literate with experience in ERP systems (e.g., JDE, Oracle), project management tools (e.g., Primavera, InEight) and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., SharePoint, PowerPoint)
