The Pensions Project Delivery team is looking for a Delivery Lead to support Pension projects. Reporting to the Pensions Delivery Manager, you will be a member of the team enabling change and transformation across Pension initiatives. The Delivery Lead is responsible for supporting the planning, coordinating, and implementing initiatives. This person will work closely with the project team, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and will always demonstrate the OMERS vision and core values.
As a member of the Project Delivery team, you will:
Support the creation and execution of project kick-off materials, project plans and updates
Risk & Issue Management by proactively identifying, documenting and managing risks and issues with clear mitigation plans
Coordinate meetings, conduct regular project meetings, take meeting minutes, communicate action items to the team and assist to drive projects to successful resolution
A relationship-builder who will ask thoughtful questions, listen intently, and engage stakeholders, sponsors and executives in a way that builds trust and credibility
Track project progress and prepare regular status updates for the project team, sponsors and executive team as required
Support project governance processes
Develop additional project-specific presentations and status reports
Ensure project documentation is up-to-date and organized
Help to identify and implement process improvements to increase project efficiency and effectiveness
To succeed in this role, you have:
A university/college degree with a focus in management, operations, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of project delivery experience with an ability to support multiple projects and changing priorities under tight deadlines with multiple stakeholders
Willingness to learn and take on new opportunities
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Hands on experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and other project management tools
Ability to easily build rapport with others, including team members, peers, and executives
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
Knowledge of pension plans, systems and processes is an asset
Project Management Professional (PMP)/Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is an asset
