ABOUT THE DIGITAL LAB The Digital Lab is an integrated unit of BC Children\xe2\x80\x99s Hospital and the University of British Columbia\xe2\x80\x99s Department of Pediatrics. Our mission is to improve the lives of pediatric patients and their families through digital innovation and technology. Since launching in 2016, the unit has evolved into a diverse interdisciplinary team of 40+ staff and students with a shared passion for exploring the potential that exists at the crossroads of technology and healthcare. We develop bespoke software, mobile apps, websites, media, games, and advanced simulations, as well as lead innovative clinical engineering programs within the hospital that leverage emerging technologies such as 3D printing and virtual reality. Underpinning our efforts is a robust research program that focuses on new technology development, patient-centered design, economic evaluation, and outcomes research associated with the products and services we provide. Our research is published in leading journals related to our fields. We are a multidisciplinary team that is united by our passion for social impact, with a focus on improving the lives of children and families, locally and around the world. JOB SUMMARY The Project Coordinator will be actively involved in the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of digital initiatives led by the Digital Lab. Reporting to the Project Lead, the Project Coordinator will support day-to-day project operations across the different functional teams and serves as a primary liaison between the various stakeholders that support the Digital Lab, our partners, and our internal team. This position is a Professional Pathway role, open to new graduates or candidates with under three years of professional experience in technical project management (though there is no strict limit - all candidates are welcome to apply). Professional Pathway roles will be supported through mentorship and a structured professional development program in an area of specialization. Completion of the program will result in a certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution, and hours of experience that can be used towards professional certification, such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential.
