Baycrest is completing planning and readiness work for a potential transition to a new Health Information System (HIS). To ensure we are prepared, we are recruiting key project roles that will support this readiness phase and any future implementation.
Job Summary
Reporting into the Project Management Office, the Project Coordinator will coordinate the implementation of a new HIS at Baycrest. Specifically, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for the project planning, implementation, and sustainability of key deliverables and engage with and educate key internal and external stakeholders and partners to execute the project goals and milestones.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the implementation of a new HIS, including the development and oversight of the project plan
Manage project risk by defining project requirements, scope and taking early action to resolve problems
Contribute to the training of key staff as the project unfolds
Cultivate and build relationships with staff across multiple departments to enable successful adoption of the deliverables
Communicate and present project plans and outcomes to staff, members of relevant project committees and resident and family councils
Provide and manage project and communication plans; play a lead role in defining the plans to help Baycrest staff, residents, families/caregivers become aware of and engaged in the project
Conduct audits and evaluations
Develop project plans, presentations, terms of reference, and other documents/material for both internal and external stakeholders
Support management with the development of activity and budget reports, and provide advanced analysis and synthesis of data to proactively support change management activities
Skillfully manage planning and facilitation of meetings/committees, needs/gap analysis, delivery of strategy and project plan into actionable items
Tracking and documenting of potential project risks and issues
Other responsibilities related to the project may also be allocated based on the needs of the project and the successful incumbent's interest/availability
Qualifications
Completion of a University degree in Project Management or equivalent required
Project Management Professional Certification and formal project management education is an asset
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a Healthcare environment, with leadership and project management responsibilities
Project management knowledge and experience
Detail-oriented, with analytical problem-solving ability, ability to prioritize/manage competing deadlines, and ability to translate needs into actionable recommendations
Excellent coordination, time management and organization skills
Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment
Experience working within a unionized environment
Experience working in long term care/seniors care
Ability to produce clear, accurate, well-organized documents and deliver effective oral presentations
Experience working with diverse clients and stakeholders
Demonstrated experience and skills in the development of business plans, reports and proposals
Experience working with social media platforms, videoconferencing platforms, polling software and/or website management, is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Compensation
At Baycrest, we take pride in ensuring our compensation structure is internally equitable and compliant with pay equity legislation. We believe compensation should be transparent, equitable, and reflective of your experience and growth. Our salary ranges are structured to support progression, from learning the role to demonstrating full proficiency.
For this position, the salary range is $58,386 to $72,983. The target hiring range is $58,386 to $63,000 per year.
Your placement within the target hiring range will depend on your job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, and relevant education and experience, as well as considerations such as market conditions and internal equity. The starting salary will be determined using these factors to ensure fairness and consistency across the organization.
