is for the overall coordination and scheduling of their assigned project from initiation to completion. This includes ensuring the safe, cost effective and efficient day-to-day operation and oversight of current project and utilizing project data to make future projects more productive and cost-efficient.
What You Will be Doing
:
Coordination of telecom construction projects - fibre backhaul, FTTP, directional drilling, cable plowing etc.
Providing coordination, direction, and ensuring the overall success of the project assigned.
Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, coordinator trades activities, and monitor progress
Creating milestone schedules, providing accurate manpower estimates, and preparing summary reports for management
Schedule workflow for internal and external workforce, delegating tasks to workforce best suited to complete them.
Performing Quality Assessments of work performed
Liaison with inspectors and clients' representatives in charge of project
Work with field staff to handle project issues as they arise.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of various reports.
Keep management current on the status of any issue(s) that may have an impact on the work being performed.
Participate in field level safety meetings, toolbox talks, and health and safety informational awareness.
Ensure equipment appearance is maintained to Burton standards.
Ensure worksite appearance is maintained to Burton standards.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management and as required by the needs of the business.

Qualifications:
What You Need to Succeed:
2+ years experience in a construction role involving work scheduling.
Grade 12 or equivalent
Valid Drivers' Licence with clean driver's abstract.
Must be able to pass criminal record check
Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
Willing to travel within region for daily operations and occasionally out of province for remote projects.
Willing to aggressively address problems; assume ownership of issues and provide solutions.
Self-directed and self-motivated, demonstrating a high level of professionalism, ethics, confidence, and a commitment to a team approach. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills.
Must set personal ethical standards at a high level and interact with others at equivalent levels within the organization in a manner that instills similar values.
Must be proficient in MS Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.).
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Nice to have:
Post Secondary degree/diploma in Business/Admin/Finance
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or working towards
Experience in a telecom or utilities construction environment
Additional safety training certifications. ie) ground disturbance, confined space, etc
