The Project Coordinator supports the successful execution of curriculum development, industry partnerships, and major events within the School of Media and IT. This role focuses on monitoring progress, ensuring compliance, and facilitating collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders.




Key Responsibilities:



Coordinate curriculum development projects by tracking timelines and budgets, maintaining alignment with strategic goals, and consulting leadership when adjustments are needed. Act as liaison for external industry partnerships, coordinating stakeholder engagement and ensuring compliance to strengthen relationships and school impact. Organize logistics and execution of major events, collaborating with NAIT's central event team to maximize engagement and showcase school initiatives.



Skills & Abilities:




Project Management & Analysis: Skilled in monitoring project plans, timelines, and deliverables; applying project management methodologies; and using analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and implement actionable solutions. Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication for reports, presentations, and stakeholder engagement; adept at time management and organization to handle multiple priorities; proven ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and industry partners while conducting research and synthesizing findings to support objectives. Project Management Software (MS Project, Asana, Trello) Office Productivity Tools (MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)



Qualifications:




A minimum of a diploma in Business Administration, Project Management, or a closely related field. At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience managing complex projects in education, research, or a related field. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, overseeing budgets and timelines, and working with external partners. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Professional certification in project management (such as PMP or equivalent) would be considered an asset.



Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES).




Remuneration

: This position is under classification and salary review



This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
