PBN Construction is a trusted and growing construction company that has built a strong reputation for reliability, safety, and innovation, delivering a broad range of services including commercial, industrial, and civil construction, aggregate crushing, paving, and retail material sales. We have secured an exciting long-term project that requires a Senior Project Coordinator to join our Civil Earthworks Team.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will oversee the planning, execution and completion of projects. This exciting opportunity offers you variety, responsibility and the chance to make an impact on the success of the project. You will work closely with the Project Manager and clients to ensure communication flows seamlessly and everyone is aligned.
Position Schedule
2 weeks on / 2 weeks off - Paid Travel time
Travel to / from site via Bus
Summary of the duties
Project Coordination & Administration
Support Project Managers in planning, executing, and closing civil construction projects.
Coordinate day-to-day project activities to ensure schedules, budgets, and deliverables are met.
Prepare and maintain project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
Track project milestones and assist with schedule updates and look-ahead planning.
Cost Control & Reporting
Assist with project cost tracking, including cost codes and WBS structures.
Support monthly cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Track purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and invoice approvals.
Assist with progress claims and subcontractor payment processes.
Procurement & Subcontractor Coordination
Coordinate material procurement and equipment rentals in alignment with project schedules.
Assist with subcontractor onboarding, documentation, and compliance requirements.
Maintain records for insurance, safety documentation, and contractual obligations.
Communication & Stakeholder Support
Act as a key point of contact between the field, office, clients, and subcontractors.
Prepare professional correspondence, reports, and presentations.
Participate in project meetings and assist with follow-up action items.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Support adherence to company policies, safety programs, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with tracking deficiencies, inspections, and close-out documentation.
Maintain accurate and organized project records.
Required
- Trade certificate or technical diploma/degree in engineering or related field experience
- 2-3 years of direct construction experience particularly as a project coordinator
- Demonstrates general knowledge of construction projects, including systems, practices and process of project management
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook etc) particularly with MS Project
- Proficient using scheduling and project management software
