We are currently seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:



The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting DMSE's surveying, geomatics, and civil engineering teams by organizing project activities, maintaining quality standards, and facilitating communication across departments. This position requires an organized and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in ensuring projects are executed efficiently and accurately.

Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Field Supervisors, the Project Coordinator helps plan, track, and document project progress from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a solid understanding of project coordination principles within a technical or engineering setting.

Key Responsibilities:



Project Coordination & Administration



Coordinate daily project activities across surveying, geomatics, and civil design teams. Assist with project setup, including job numbers, file organization, and QA/QC templates. Track deliverables, timelines, and milestones to ensure drawings, reports, and submissions are completed on schedule. Prepare project documentation, including schedules, field packages, change notices, and progress reports. Support proposal preparation and assist in drafting scopes, estimates, and work plans for smaller assignments.

Communication & Client Liaison



Act as a communication bridge between clients, field crews, drafting staff, and engineers. Review and relay client instructions clearly to ensure deliverables meet expectations. Follow up with internal teams to monitor progress and address project-related issues promptly. Facilitate team meetings and ensure key updates are shared effectively across departments.

Quality Control & Documentation



Review survey and engineering plans for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards. Assist with QA/QC processes, field-to-office data verification, and plan markups. Maintain project standards by referencing company templates, CAD standards, and QA procedures. Help manage permits, utility locates, and regulatory documentation as required.

Support & Coordination



Ensure smooth coordination of resources and timelines between survey field crews and design staff. Assist with data organization and transfer, ensuring consistency between digital and field records. Contribute to maintaining efficient project workflows and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications:



Education



Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Geomatics, Project Management, or related field.

Certifications



Valid Class 5 Driver's License. Project Management training or certification is considered an asset.

Experience



2+ years of experience in project coordination, surveying, or civil engineering environments preferred. Familiarity with engineering and survey documentation, QA/QC standards, and data management practices. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams across technical, field, and administrative functions.

Technical Proficiency



Strong computer literacy with Google Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D is considered an asset. Understanding and adapting workflows, digital documentation, and version control systems.

Pay: $40,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
