Job Description


Our business is thriving, and we are looking for our next colleague with whom we will share the pleasure working at Mid-South, a division of Wood Technologies International, based in Richmond, BC. We are looking for a natural leader who, as a Project Coordinator, will take the lead on challenging and varied projects requiring engineering, design, and consulting capabilities for our clients.

At Mid-South, we provide our clients with engineering, design, and consulting services. We are in the building products industry and diverse heavy industrial manufacturing facilities.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong project management skills, including experience with project scheduling and budget management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile/PMP project management methodologies is a plus.
  • At least 2-year post-secondary Engineering Technology Diploma
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Engineering or a related field (is a plus)
  • Can work legally in Canada
And know how to \xe2\x80\xa6
  • Solve complex problems, technical writing and presentation
  • Ability to generate General Arrangements drawings and General Section drawings for large process equipment
  • Ability to Design and draft detailed associated Structural components and manufacturing Material Handling Conveyors using 2D-CAD
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of engineering documentation
  • You have experience with product/machine design (is a plus!)
  • Have experience within the Sawmill industry or other process industries (is a plus!)
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Manage project risks and ensure that appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and other stakeholders, to deliver projects to meet customer requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure project success.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and risks to all stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate project performance to identify areas for improvement.
