What you will do
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, Projects and Integration within the Payment and Settlement Operations (PSO) team, the Project Coordinator provides bilingual, multi-skilled administrative support to the team and demonstrates leadership that contributes actively toward the team\xe2\x80\x99s success. The incumbent ensures the smooth coordination of day-to-day activities to help the team achieve their priorities and meet their deadlines. The incumbent also provides effective and efficient client services by accurately monitoring and maintaining the financial institutions resolutions and signing authorities and its framework.

Specifically, you will:

  • Be responsible for the financial and legal requirements of the signing authorizations, the Memorandum of Understandings, and the Bank of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s signature book. Communicate changes to all staff/managers from all operating sites. Ensure that electronic and physical records are up-to-date.
  • Coordinate, prepare, analyze and track $3.5 million budget for Banking Operations, including preparation of periodic and timely invoices for various customers. Ensure timely processing of related invoices.
  • Liaise with external bodies (financial institutions, financial market infrastructures) to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation, and internally (Corporate Services, Financial Services and Legal Services) to administer budget and Human Resources matters.
  • Support change management activities including the development, maintenance and publishing of administrative and operational procedures for PSO.
  • Ensure that required activities pertaining to staff onboarding and offboarding are completed as required.
  • Perform various administrative tasks: schedule meetings; manage a dedicated email inbox and related correspondence; maintain and update physical and electronic documents; and support as required to operational sites.

  • experience in accounting
  • excellent technical skills: Microsoft suite
  • good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and make sound decisions and recommendations
  • ability to be flexible and self-motivated and to take initiative
  • ability to maintain accuracy and provide special attention to detail, even as priorities change and urgencies intervene
  • excellent communication skills, written and oral

  • knowledge of Bank\xe2\x80\x99s tools and policies
Your education and experience
This position requires a post-secondary education in a field related to the position or a combination of education, training and experience

What you need to know
  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
  • Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
  • Security level required: Be eligible to obtain Secret

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $59,415 to $69,900 (job grade 13)
  • Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay. The first tier of performance pay is for successfully meeting expectation, at 3 to 5% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay for those who exceed expectations (7% of your base salary).. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
