The role of a project coordinator is a full-time position where the successful applicant would coordinate day to day tasks and schedule installers at customer locations. The successful applicant will track and manage each project from start to finish to ensure they are being communicated to all departments and are on schedule. Excellent customer service, communication skills and attention to detail are required. While the responsibilities will be focused on managing project initiatives, the Project Coordinator must possess the ability to work and communicate effectively with the other departments.
Job specifications: Education/experience
- 2-3 Project Coordination/Management experience
- Advanced knowledge of Gantt Charts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- PMP Certification would be an asset
- Strong customer service skills are a necessity
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and independently, multi-task and stay organized under pressure is required
- Time management and priority management skills necessary
- Friendly, flexible, talented, creative, highly motivated worker and communicator Complexity/analysis
- Develops creative solutions and alternatives to customer problems
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize various responsibilities and meet project deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Working with warehouse to ensure material readiness and assisting with preventing bottlenecks Direction received
- Receives direction from executive manager and purchaser, and collaborates with lead architect, shop supervisors and assistant supervisor
- Coordinate day to day tasks and schedule workers at customer locations.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with the other departments.
- Building strong relationships with workers and clients are a necessity
- Meeting project deadlines with minimal interruption Inside/outside relationships
- The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for elevator installers and clients via telephone and email
- Consistent communication with Engineering, Executive Manager, Office staff, Manufacturing shop and Installation team Instruction/Coordination
- May provide verbal assistance to clients, elevator installers Position conditions
- Largely sedentary position
- Minimal travel may be required throughout the GTA
