About the Organization


This multi-provincial study evaluates pharmacist prescribing in the context of the Quintuple Aim across Nova Scotia, Alberta, and Ontario. The study will use a convergent parallel mixed methods design, including qualitative interviews and analysis of administrative data, to inform best practices for wider adoption of pharmacist prescribing.


Job Summary


Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Project Coordinator will collaborate with an international team to coordinate all aspects of the project, including managing data collection, engaging interest-holders, and leading knowledge mobilization efforts to ensure project timelines, budget, and deliverables are met.


Key Responsibilities


Manage day-to-day operations across three provinces. This will include coordinating activities of research staff and graduate students. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation. Ensure compliance with ethics approvals, data governance, and CIHR funding conditions, including preparation of required reports. Coordinate multi-site data collection (qualitative interviews and administrative data). Lead qualitative data collection, including recruitment, and analysis. Prepare ethics applications for qualitative and administrative data. Prepare and submit data access requests and assist with interpretation of administrative data. Assist with mapping and comparing contextual factors of pharmacist prescribing models. Facilitate communication among research team members, patient partners, knowledge users, international collaborators, and other interest-holders. Organize and support virtual and in-person knowledge exchange sessions. Contribute to the development and implementation of knowledge translation strategies.



Note


The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work from within Nova Scotia) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.


Required Qualifications


Research-based Master's degree in a health services research-related field (or equivalent training and experience). Proven experience coordinating research projects and/or program management as well as training and hands-on experience in qualitative research, including leading data collection and analysis. Familiarity with administrative data use in research, including ethics submissions and data access requests. Proven excellent communication (verbal and written) skills with the proven ability to collaborate effectively within an interprofessional team. Demonstrated strong attention to detail, initiative, organizational and time management skills, and ability to work independently. Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and patient-centred research.



Assets


Knowledge of Canadian health systems and pharmacist prescribing models. Experience applying implementation science frameworks (e.g., CFIR 2.0). Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
