Position Description
This position reports to the Branch Manager and is a member of the Field Operations team that translates customer requirements into finished elevators. The role involves tasks at various stages of the construction project life cycle from sale to customer acceptance, as well as various administrative duties to assist other team members.
Responsibilities
Represent Delta's core values of Integrity, Service and Quality in relationships with both internal staff members and external customers and suppliers.
Follow Delta Elevator policies and procedures, Employee Handbook, and Health & Safety Manual guidelines.
Prepare new job binders, properly arranging materials from the Sales team.
Receive, date stamp, file and communicate job correspondence to appropriate people.
Administer shipping schedule and tasks confirm details with Field project Managers.
Verify site readiness through site visits and through discussions with contractors.
Inform Manufacturing and/or Engineering of installation or delivery issues.
Schedule drilling, insert delivery, and crane lifts, and coordinate with other trades.
Prepare and issue change notices and Issue change orders on approved change notices.
Assess the status of active jobs and adjust job completion dates.
Schedule Adjuster and TSSA initial and final inspections and ensure resolution of inspection directives.
Provide monthly progress draw information and file closed job documents.
Communicate with branches regarding long term scheduling and crew availability.
Schedule holiday of construction personnel.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
EDM-T or EDM-F registration with the TSSA to be obtined within twelve (12) months.
Post-secondary education in project management an asset.
Past experience in project management.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software applications and in the creation of integrated spreadsheet and word processing documents.
Experience dealing with contractors and other trades.
Valid driver's license.
Initiative in working independently and in a team environment.
Ability to read main layout drawings.
Above average detail orientation for site assessments and measurments.
Ability to deal with contractors and other trades.
Ability to manager multiple projects.
Ability to work deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Other requirements:
Ability to travel in Southern Ontario to visit job sites and branch offices.
