We are searching for a Project Coordinator to join our Property and Support Services team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity
  • Provides support to all major projects to ensure compliance to policies, procedures, and applicable legislation
  • Update the system as costs are allocated, timelines are adjusted, changes are requested etc.
  • Assist the Project Manager in verifying contractor is complying with scope of work
  • Ensure completion reports are filed at the end of each project and signed off by the operations team
  • Enter each project into database (Job Cost-Yardi)
  • Assist the Project Managers with issuing subcontracts and monitoring their progress
  • Maintain record keeping and document control as per Shannex policy
  • Assist in the preparation and revision of contract documents
  • Coordinate the tendering process in cooperation with the Project Manager
  • Develop project plans for each project and update as necessary
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Project Managers
  • Ensures new team members are orientated and trained on all processes related to major projects
  • Collaborate with the team to identify any risks to the project plan
  • Provide regular updates to VP PSS as it relates to project scope, schedule, deliverables, budget, other risks to the project
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers
  • Manage the flow of information between the contractors and the Project Managers
About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
  • Required Education
University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering/ Construction Management Technology certificate, or a combination of education and industry experience
  • Required Experience
2+ years of experience in a project management setting

Experience in health care setting considered an asset
