We are seeking a motivated and highly organized individual to support our new Apprenticeship Tutoring Hub Pilot Project.
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator for the Apprenticeship Tutoring Hub at Cape Breton County Adult Learning Association plays a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Director in program development and administration of this project. This position involves recruiting subject matter experts from various red seal trades, collaborating with the Industry Training Consultants (ITC) from the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency to identify learners, working closely with training institutions like NSCC, and liaising with industry professionals to enroll learners into the program.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Director in the development and administration of the Tutoring Hub program.
Recruit subject matter experts from red seal trades to contribute to the program.
Collaborate with the Industry Training Consultants (ITC) from NSAA to identify potential learners.
Work closely with training institutions such as NSCC and industry professionals to enroll learners into the program.
Provide guidance and support to project staff to ensure smooth operation of the Tutoring Hub.
Assist with the creation of advertising materials and collaborate with advertisers to promote the Tutoring Hub project effectively.
Report directly to the Executive Director and operate under her direct supervision.
Always represent Cape Breton County Adult Learning Association in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
Experience in project coordination or program management.
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency with computers, MS Office products.
Valid Nova Scotia driver's license, access to a vehicle.
Knowledge of adult education principles and practices.

Terms of Employment:
Project Coordinator $32 per hour + 4% vacation pay; 26 hours per week; occasional evening hours, Christmas and March Break lay offs; 26 weeks
Total: 26 hours per week for 26 weeks
Location:
Sydney base, with travel within CBRM. Mileage provided.
