A Snapshot of Your Day The Project Controller/ Commercial Project Manager bears the responsibility for all financial andcommercial tasks for their assigned projects, from the bidding phase through tothe end of warranty, working with a dynamic team for the successful completionof the projects, including on time and on budget. How You\xe2\x80\x99ll Make an Impact

  • Drive the commercial preparation of the bid submission, including the offer calculation, evaluation of suppliers and presentations to management.
  • Work with the legal team to negotiate contractual terms and conditions with customers, consortium partners and subcontractors and assess complex contract constellations.
  • Ensure the proper set up of the project including determining the appropriate revenue recognition method according to IFRS, developing the work breakdown structure in SAP, etc.
  • Plan and forecast the project\xe2\x80\x99s profit and loss, free cash flow and balance sheet impacts, as well as maintain and own the responsibility for the accuracy of that forecast.
  • Closely monitor actual vs. plan, percentage of completion, cost to complete, etc.
  • Perform variance analyses, advise the root cause of any deviations and provide recommendations to recover from past issues and/or mitigate future impacts.
  • Ensure full compliance of revenue and cost recognition with Siemens Energy\xe2\x80\x99s accounting policies under IFRS, as well as overall compliance with internal controls.
  • Update reporting tools and ensure data integrity between back-end and front-end tools.
  • Support the responsible Project Manager on change, claim, contract and risk management.
  • Implement and drive measures together with the project manager to leverage opportunities to improve the project financials and project performance.
  • Support Project Managers to keep the project on time and on budget.
  • Work with corporate departments and experts to coordinate other contractual requirements including scheduling, financial guarantees, insurances, taxes, foreign exchange, logistics, etc.
  • Prepare for, and present in, customer meetings, vendor meetings and management review meetings.
What You Bring
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Ability to read, write and converse in both French and English is mandatory
  • 3-5 years of diverse experience in a related field
  • Ability to work well under pressure and under tight timeliness
  • Relevant IT systems knowledge (SAP, Microsoft Office)
  • CPA certificate or Master Degree in Business Administration is an asset
