As a Project Buyer at StarFish Medical, you'll report directly to the Purchasing and Logistics Manager and play a hands-on role in ensuring our product development teams have the materials and components they need, exactly when they need them. What You'll Do
Represent
Supply Chain
at project kickoff meetings, design reviews, and other product development discussions.
Own and manage the
procurement process
for project materials and services, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Build and maintain
strong relationships
with internal teams and suppliers, effectively communicating project needs and expectations.
Negotiate
costs, delivery terms, quality, and supplier agreements
to meet internal and client needs.
Source and maintain
approved suppliers
while proactively identifying alternative suppliers to optimize BOM costs.
Maintain and update supplier information in
ERP systems
(preferably SYSPRO), ensuring data accuracy.
Support
supplier evaluation processes
, including supplier audits, NCRs, and SCARs.
Prepare, process, and analyze
quote packages
, making recommendations based on cost, quality, and delivery considerations.
Assist in resolving
Quality Control and Accounts Payable
issues related to procurement.
Manage
open order reports
to track supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials.

Bachelor's degree in
supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration

5+ years
of experience in
supply chain, procurement, or purchasing
within a product development or manufacturing environment.
Hands-on knowledge of
best procurement practices
(preferably in electromechanical manufacturing).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in
cost analysis and supplier management

Proficiency in
Microsoft Office (Excel required)
and experience with
ERP systems (preferably SYSPRO)
.
Ability to
prioritize, manage multiple projects, and work independently
in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Experience in regulated industries (e.g.,
