Responsibilities

OVERALL PURPOSE:
Performs a variety of billing duties. Participates in the month-end process. Uses financial systems to develop and correct job costing for capital projects. Creates work order adjustment for Payroll to correct errors. Answers inquires and requests from other departments regarding billing payment issues. Performs a variety of clerical duties. Acts as the K2 Business Submitter for various SkyTrain capital projects and resolves K2 invoice processing issues.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires Grade 12 graduation and post-secondary courses in basic businss and accounting.
Requires two (2) years previous experience in a range of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and account reconciliation in a large, computerized accounting environment, utilizing computerized accounting and spreadsheet software, and with responsibility for investigating and resolving discrepancies, organizing own work, and processing a large amount of detailed data.
A further period of up to three (3) months in the job is required to become familiar with BCRTC accounting policies and procedures.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.
Once in the process, testing will be used to confirm this suitability and all internal applicants will be required to obtain a pass mark of 70% on each component of the testing to demonstrate a minimum level of proficiency in the position.

Wage: $36.36 per hour
Please note: All new employees will be subject to a 6-week trainee rate at 75% of the hourly rate with the remained of the first year at 90% of the hourly rate.
