Do you have a passion for energy efficiency and a drive to make a difference across the province? The Energy Efficiency Policy and Programs Branch within the Distribution, Conservation and Innovation Policy Division is seeking a Project Advisor to support the implementation of public-facing programs. In this dynamic role, you'll lead data analysis, evaluate business processes, and engage with stakeholders to enhance energy efficiency and conservation initiatives that benefit communities across Ontario.



This position is supporting as well as leading certain aspects of program delivery and policy development for three energy efficiency and conservation programs. With the release of the Integrated Energy Plan, this is an opportunity to help deliver on commitments made to enhance energy efficiency and work with stakeholders towards regional energy planning as well as enhancing access to energy data.

In this position you will:



support the delivery of energy benchmarking and municipal funding programs. conduct data analysis of program data to support policy and program development across the ministry. support the evaluation of programs and projects and make recommendations for enhancement. provide client support and provide solutions to incoming issues, questions etc. manage projects by establishing priorities, developing workplans, and monitoring budget liaise with internal and external stakeholders to discuss and enhance policies and programs prepare reports, presentations, communications and briefing notes for senior management

You have:


knowledge of project management theories, practices and techniques the ability to create project plans, establish goals and priorities, assign tasks and resolve problems/conflicts experience with forecasting, obtaining resources, contract management, and monitoring budgets to ensure deliverables are met time management skills and the ability to shift tasks based on priority

Relationship management skills:




You:


can build and maintain effective relationships within the ministry, and with ministry partners and stakeholders have influential skills to resolve conflict with stakeholders and achieve common goals and objectives have consultation and consensus-building skills to work effectively with stakeholders

Interpersonal and communication skills:




You have:


tact and diplomacy to communicate on sensitive issues verbal and written communication skills, and have experience in preparing briefing and decision notes, data graphics, slide decks, and other materials experience with making recommendations to senior advisors and management the ability to participate in working groups/committees attention to detail and can prepare materials using computer software (e.g., word processing, database and presentation software).
