Job Title: Project Accounting Advisor IV
Location: Edmonton
Our client is seeking a Project Accounting Advisor IV to join their team. As a Project Accounting Advisor IV, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting project and program management teams. The ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
:

  • Collaborate with Project and Program Managers to perform cost management activities ensuring timely financial reporting.
  • Compile and reconcile accounting transactions, prepare accruals, and assess timesheet entries to support variance reporting.
  • Maintain and report on financial controls for the project portfolio, including submission of project financials into accounting systems.
  • Set up, close out, and maintain work breakdown structures and budgets throughout the project lifecycle using systems like Oracle, Copperleaf, and EPPRT.
  • Support procure-to-pay processes, monitor commitments, process purchase requests, and liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in project cost control with keen attention to detail.
  • Accounting education and credentials.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with database applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Efficient time management skills to oversee multiple priorities effectively.
