Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our financial team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the financial management of various projects, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance with regulatory standards, and timely reporting. Your expertise will support project success by maintaining meticulous financial records, analyzing costs, and facilitating effective financial decision-making. Responsibilities

:

Ensure accurate and timely tracking of project costs, budgets, and forecasts Manage full-cycle project accounting, including cost tracking, budget monitoring, and variance analysis. Prepare and present monthly P&L and cashflow by project and strengthen billing, progress payment monitoring, and cash flow alignment Prepare and review progress billings, monitor collections, and support cash flow forecasting. Maintain Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with company policies. Provide timely project financial reports and insights to project managers and senior leadership. Ensure compliance with contracts, internal controls, and audit requirements. Coordinate and collaborate with project managers, operations, and project teams to support decision-making and resolve accounting issues. Assist in budgeting and forecasting project costs and profitability, highlighting risks and opportunities.

Qualifications:



5-8 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a project-based environment (manufacturing, energy, or construction). Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Proven experience in corporate or governmental accounting with a focus on project or contract management. Strong understanding of GAAP principles, accrual accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts such as debits & credits. Experience with financial statement preparation, financial report writing, interpretation of financial data, and cash flow analysis. Ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent analytical skills combined with a keen eye for detail; strong organizational skills are vital. Effective communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration across teams; mentoring capabilities are a plus. Knowledge of tax regulations related to project finance is advantageous; experience in public accounting or private equity is beneficial. Pay: $85,000.00-$105,001.80 per year
