Project Accountant

Our client, a leader in the aeronautical field, is looking for a project accountant. Come work for a company that promotes excellence and integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and track Project Cash Flows and report - Actuals and Forecast/Budget (with variance analysis)
  • PMO point of contact with Finance for Asset proposal requests to ensure accuracy of forecasts in ERP
  • Actively involved in the preparation of the company\'s Annual Budget
  • Participate in the quarterly revised forecast process
  • Align with key stakeholders on projects, including Technical Services, Fleet Management, Supply Chain, Legal
  • Implement project controls to identify risks against budget/forecast
  • Prepare analysis for Capital Board governance and assist with preparation of Monthly and Quarterly Business Review Presentations
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting in EPM and ensure compliance with Accounting Standards (IFRS)
  • Produce periodic and ad hoc reports to support departments and senior management
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and systems
  • Build work instructions to better coordinate project reviews
  • Support Business Process Implementation manager on systems alignment projects and implementation of SQL reporting/Power BI for Finance across BU\'s
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting and professional accounting designation
  • 3 to 5 years\' experience in a similar role
  • Bilingual (written and spoken), French and English
  • Strong analytical and synthesizing skills
  • Organized and skilled at managing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong computer knowledge, especially with MS Office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Tagetik, SQL, Power BI, an asset
  • Able to carry out tasks independently and thoroughly
  • A team player
  • Proven ability to adapt and be flexible
