Project

Accountant to join our entrepreneurial team. This position will assist in ensuring the financial health of the company, and its related affiliates, partnerships, and ventures. Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on all financial and accounting concerns of the company, while ensuring the information is reported in an accurate, timely, and cost-effective manner. You will use your attention to detail and ability to solve complex problems to manage multiple tasks and duties while maintaining quality control over deliverables to meet deadlines in a consistent manner. You will also be tasked with special accounting projects as they arise. Being a dynamic individual, you will enjoy working in a "hands on" company environment where collaboration is a must.

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

Post-secondary education in accounting, with 3+ years of relevant experience Strong business acumen with proven full cycle accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry and/or a public accounting firm. Solid computer skills in Excel, and MS Office, experience with Yardi and CaseWare would be considered an asset Ability to work well under pressure while meeting reporting deadlines Strong time management skills with a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail Proven ability to work well in a team and collaborate to overcome challenges Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people Experience with detailed review of working papers and journal entries, GST returns and general corporate tax knowledge Experience with multiple intercompany transactions Strong leadership ability with the drive and skills to assist in the overall success of the team. Coaching and mentoring experience will be considered an asset as this position has the possibility to progress to a Team Lead role within the next 12-18 months Have a "can do" attitude possessing the drive, determination and commitment to producing results

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
