Grand Circle Corporation Grand Circle Corporation is in business to change the lives of our travelers, employees and communities in which we work and travel. We are the largest US direct marketer of international travel, adventure, and discovery for North Americans aged 50-plus Programs Services Manager with experience in Performance Management/Coaching and Team development. The successful candidate will be responsible for a team of Tour Leaders leading Senior Americans on our tours in the Canadian Rockies and the Maritimes of Eastern Canada WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A strong and engaging leader who is flexible, creative, independent, and highly organized
  • Previous experience in team management, hiring and training preferred. Experience in the travel industry is an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written command of English
  • Proven ability to motivate people while building relationships based on trust, accountability, and mutual respect
  • A self-starter who is able to prioritize projects based on the needs of the business.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft office required.
  • Position will require 50% of travel domestic and international.
  • Dependability, candor, strong work ethic, time management are all pre-requisites
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
  • Hire and train Tour Leaders based on their culture fit with our Company Values (skills and experience are second):
  • Develop hiring and training plans to staff all departures with high performing Tour Leaders.
  • Develop individual training plans for newly hired Tour Leaders.
  • Drive achievement of Regional Excellence Goals through:
    • Live coaching of Tour Leaders over the phone, via video conference calls, and in person
    • Assess Tour Leaders performance while on tour by joining tours with passengers on the road.
    • Responsible for Tour Leaders assignment based on performance.
    • Interact regularly with travelers on site
    • Read quality surveys to assess Tour Leaders performance.
  • Create and distribute Monthly Newsletter to Tour Guides
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor degree graduate required
  • 2+ years of experience in hiring, training, coaching, and managing individual and team performances
  • Experience in Travel Business is preferred
  • Traveling 50% of time
  • Proven ability to form a team, teach and coach
  • Proven ability to motivate and manage performance to achieve quality results
  • Able to prioritize key actions to achieve goals and is a self-starter
  • Ability to communicate 1x1 using a feedback model
  • Ability to drive performances in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence in Public Speaking and Presentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
