The Labrador Friendship Centre is seeking a dedicated Programs Manager to collaborate closely with the Executive Director in overseeing day-to-day operations of our programs and services. This role involves leading staff, overseeing existing programs, services, and projects, exploring new opportunities, and ensuring the successful delivery to our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee established programs and projects, ensuring adherence to agreements and quality standards while meeting the community needs.
Identify and pursue new program and project opportunities, including preparing proposals for funding.
Work alongside the Finance Manager to prepare and manage budgets for various programs.
Oversee, guide, and support program and project staff.
Ensure all proposal submissions are complete, accurate, and timely.
Complete necessary reporting documents and analyze program effectiveness and adequacy.
Assist in the recruitment of employees and serve on relevant committees.
Collaborate with the Executive Director to manage daily operations regarding programs and services and strategic initiatives.
Participate in occasional travel as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree in community studies, social work, Indigenous studies, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
A strong understanding of the socioeconomic factors that intersect into the lives of Indigenous peoples.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven managerial and administrative capabilities, including budget development and management.
Extensive knowledge of funding processes and the ability to negotiate funding requirements.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong evaluation skills and the ability to analyze program effectiveness.
Experience in public presentations.
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Clear code of conduct from the RCMP.
