Redefining veterinary healthcare in Canada.

AprilVets partners with veterinarians to launch modern, tech-enabled clinics that deliver better care for pets and more sustainable careers for vets. We're growing fast nationwide -- and we're looking for a

full-time, on-site Program Manager in Halifax

to help make it happen.

Key Responsibilities



1. Clinic Launch Workflow



Oversee the full clinic launch process, from vet onboarding through post-opening, using the project management platform.

Develop, refine, and maintain pre- and post-launch checklists with input from leadership and clinic owners.

Monitor timelines, identify gaps, and drive accountability across all launch activities.

Act as the workflow platform superuser, ensuring structure, updates, automations, and adoption.

2. Marketing & Local Activation



Coordinate launch campaigns with Creative and Media partners to meet deadlines and deliverables.

Support local marketing for clinic launches and community events, including logistics, signage, swag, and digital workflows.

Manage direct marketing campaigns from concept through vet approvals to execution.

Track and reconcile clinic-level marketing budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

3. Cross-Functional Coordination



Serve as the communication hub between AprilVets leadership and veterinarians, streamlining approvals and messaging.

Translate leadership direction into actionable clinic-facing strategies.

Align operations, construction, and marketing to ensure seamless clinic openings.

Coordinate stakeholders, keeping leadership, vets, and contractors aligned on priorities and timelines.

4. Process Improvement



Optimize launch processes for efficiency while maintaining flexibility for unique clinic needs.

Design integrated workflows that cover pre- and post-launch phases (e.g., grand opening plans).

Relaunch underdeveloped initiatives with clear ownership and accountability.

Lead special projects introducing new tools, best practices, and operational improvements.

5. Risk & Quality Management



Proactively identify risks (e.g., construction delays, vendor issues, software downtime) and implement contingency plans.

Test and validate AprilVets digital and operational tools before launch to ensure reliability.

Establish quality assurance and escalation protocols to minimize downtime.

Collect and analyze feedback from vets and staff, coordinating fixes and enhancements with vendors.

Track, prioritize, and implement refinements to workflows, tools, and systems in line with growth strategy.

What we're looking for:



2-5 years of program or project management experience (healthcare, retail, or start-up an asset).

Fluent in English (verbal and written).

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Experience with project management platforms and workflow automation.

Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Proactive, process-driven, and thrives in fast-paced environments.

Compensation & Benefits:



Salary:

$60,000 - $70,000

, based on experience.
