Cygnets Cooperative Preschool is seeking a dedicated and experienced
Program Supervisor
to join our leadership team. This senior role oversees all preschool and toddler programs, ensuring high-quality, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environments. You will lead a talented team of educators, support children's individual needs, and engage with families and the community. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a background in budgeting, and experience in program management and supervision. This role is crucial for ensuring that our programs run efficiently and effectively while meeting organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Lead centre programs, fostering safe, inclusive, and engaging environments for children.
Manage staff scheduling, supervision, and professional development, promoting a positive and collaborative team culture.
Oversee enrolment and maintain waitlists.
Coordinate with external professionals (TVCC, PT, OT, Speech, Resource Consultant) to support children's individualized plans.
Be a consistent, safe presence for children when educators are unavailable.
Address program needs including classroom setup, equipment, and supplies.
Support family engagement through meetings, orientations, and program events.
Collaborate with a Co-Supervisor on centre-wide initiatives, budgeting, compliance, and program evaluation.
Contribute to long-term visioning, community partnerships, and the growth and sustainability of Cygnets.
Qualifications
Proven administrative experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or equivalent.
Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE).
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in licensed child care, including 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of CCEYA, HDLH?, and licensing standards.
Experience mentoring and supervising educators, students, and volunteers.
Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
CPR/First Aid Level C certification.
Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
