Position Description:

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for launching and overseeing the day-to-day operations at Coves Landing, a new 50-unit supportive housing program in London. You will lead an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality supports, enabling residents to thrive in housing, health, and community life. As a leader at Indwell, you will model and promote the organizational mission, vision, and values in all aspects of leadership as well as a deep commitment to recovery-oriented principles. You will foster a culture of hope, compassion, and belonging for both the residents and the team members.



This role combines program development, staff supervision, system navigation, and collaborative leadership to ensure recovery-focused, trauma-informed, and evidence-based practices are embedded throughout. The ideal candidate will bring resilience, initiative, and a passion for supporting people facing complex challenges, including serious mental illness, chronic homelessness, and substance use.

Hours of Work:

40 hours per week. Flexibility will be required, including some evening, weekend, and public holiday availability. Participation in the on-call rotation is required.



WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:



Program Launch & Development



Work with Indwell leadership to develop and operationalize the program Support the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of the interdisciplinary team Build a positive team culture with shared vision and purpose Carry out resident intakes and organize the occupancy of 50-units in collaboration with external partners and the City of London's Coordinated Access system Oversee logistical planning for program set-up, design, and daily operations Establish partnerships with community health and social service providers

Team Leadership & Supervision



Provide mission-driven leadership that reflects Indwell's values in daily operations and long-term planning Supervise and support staff, students, and volunteers; conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews Mentor emerging leaders through intentional goal-setting and development plans Model healthy team dynamics with effective communication, a culture of learning, and a values-based team culture grounded in mutual respect and professionalism Promote a reflective practice culture by modeling self-awareness, humility, and a commitment to personal growth Manage schedules, workflow, and on-call coverage Coordinate the implementation of new tools, systems, and policies in collaboration with program leadership Provide leadership that reflects Indwell's mission and values in daily operations and long-term planning Keep the team informed on best practices and community developments Participate in strategic planning with regional leadership Facilitate team meetings, case conferences, and debriefing following critical incidents Participate in cross-regional initiatives and contribute to strategic priorities

Resident-Centered Support



Oversee intake, move-ins, and welcome processes for smooth resident transitions Uphold high standards of care by aligning practices with evidence-based models, including recovery principles, trauma-informed care, and psychosocial rehabilitation. Contribute to program evaluation and innovation Lead the interdisciplinary team to implement creative, sustainable, and appropriate supports that maintain health and housing stability for residents Build strong relationships with community partners to coordinate care and supports Ensure programming reflects resident goals, promotes inclusion, and builds community Address resident concerns and resolve conflicts constructively

Health, Safety & Administration



Maintain a safe and healthy working environment in line with health and safety policies Uphold organizational procedures for privacy, security, and resident safety Ensure rent ledger accuracy and program-related financial documentation Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with regulations Contribute to budgeting, resource planning, and training oversight Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives

WHAT YOU WILL BE BRING:



Deep commitment to Indwell's mission, Code of Conduct, and values of dignity, love, and hope Post-secondary education in social work, social services, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience (including lived experience) Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in social service or health settings Experience supporting people with mental health challenges and/or substance use, using recovery and harm reduction approaches Strong interpersonal, communication, crisis-management, and problem-solving skills Ability to lead diverse teams in a dynamic environment Demonstrated ability to lead with integrity, humility, and compassion Commitment to trauma-informed practice and continuous learning Collaborative, enthusiastic, and flexible approach Proficiency in understanding and applying relevant legislation, including the Residential Tenancies Act
