About the position:
Under the supervision of the Programs Manager the Program Supervisor is responsible for organizing and coordinating all general aspects of the programs. They will ensure that goals and objectives of the program are met and that the program is maintained and developed in line with its contract, as well as within the philosophy of McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association.
Hours of work would be Monday and Tuesday 8:30-4:30, Wednesday 1:00-9:00, Thursday and Friday 8:30-4:30; however, flexibility will be required to meet program needs.
This position supervises the Mobile Addictions Outreach Initiative (MAOI), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Program, and the Parent Child Assistance Program (PCAP).
Key Responsibilities :
• Ensure case management process is followed by staff, using appropriate assessment and intervention models and through file management audits and case note reviews.
• Develop a positive working relationship through on-going communication with community partners including but not limited to Recovery Alberta and the South Alberta FASD Network.
• Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing as per contracts, providing orientations to new staff, regular check ins and guidance for current staff, and provide formal supervisions according to policies and procedures.
• Plan and conduct routine team meetings.
• Ensure health and safety needs of the program personnel and service participants by ensuring that program facilities and vehicles are maintained and meet Agency and statutory standards.
• Work collaboratively with community partners and funders attending meetings and case conference, facilitating in-service informational sessions and reporting.
• Weekly travel to Pincher Creek for Program Support; use of agency vehicle provided.
• Be part of the On Call rotation.
• Providing Naloxone Training to all agency staff; lead Naloxone Training Program with all facilitators for McMan South Zone.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• Degree or Diploma in human services or related field; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Two years' experience and demonstrated competence working with adult populations, individuals with FASD across the lifespan, supporting caregivers of individuals with FASD, high risk individuals at risk of having a child with FASD, individuals with chronic addictions, and vulnerable street involved populations.
• Understanding of the Alberta PCAP Model, and how it relates to supporting Indigenous populations in Southern Alberta.
• Understanding of the Recovery Oriented System of Care and services for individuals across the four pillars of addiction services.
• Ability to adapt interventions and think innovatively.
• Knowledge of SMART Recovery framework; experience facilitating would be an asset.
• Two years of experience in a supervisory role, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and remote staff, is preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication and administrative skills.
• Demonstrate professionalism within all aspects of employment, with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Microsoft Office abilities (SharePoint, One Drive, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Current Standard First Aid CPR Level C Certificate or CSA Standard Z1210-17 Intermediate First Aid Certificate.
• Clear Child Intervention Record Check, dated within the past six months.
• Clear Police Information Check with vulnerable sector, dated within past six months.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License, 3-year non-commercial Driver's Abstract, and use of reliable vehicle with $2M Third Party Liability insurance.
