Alpha Court Community Mental Health and Addiction Services is seeking a full-time, permanent Program Manager.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Manager will be responsible for providing guidance and direction to front-line staff, participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of mental health addiction services and activities related to utilization, risk management and quality of services.

Qualifications:



The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Degree in Social Sciences, or closely related field with relevant clinical expertise. Master's degree in Social Sciences is an asset. Previous management experience is an asset. Minimum of 5 years of experiences in Community Mental Health or closely related field. Working knowledge of mental health, case management and supported housing. Thorough knowledge of modalities such as motivational interviewing, harm reduction, Dialectical Behavioural Treatment. Strong communication skills including: verbal, written and listening. Proven analytical and problem - solving skills. Knowledge and commitment to Indigenous health frameworks and equity, inclusion and diversity. Ability to work in a team environment. Current registration with the OCSWSSW is an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Provide direct supervision to 12-20 front-line staff. Participate in the planning, development and implementation of program goals and objectives. Develop operating policies for the programs in consultation with the Executive Director and recommend new or amended policies. Conduct internal audits for quality assurance. Develop and update case management procedural handbook. Responsible for staff orientation, training, team building, and annual staff performance appraisals. Recommend disciplinary measures and discharges to the Executive Director. Oversee program referrals, client eligibility and assignment. Participate in the planning, research and evaluation of new/existing mental health resources and services. Provide backup for front-line staff as required. Work in partnership with other Program Managers and members of the management team. Participate on internal / external committees as appropriate.

Working Conditions:



Sitting for long periods of time. Use of a computer for long periods of time. Faced with crisis situations and must be able to respond immediately. May be exposed to environments which contain used needles, drugs, etc. Interaction with clients who may be at risk of self-harm or harm to others. Interaction with clients who may be under the influence of drugs / alcohol Numerous deadlines.
