Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Program Manager on a permanent basis at our Home Office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

What you'll do:

You will be responsible for the overall management of the initiation, execution, control, and completion of the FCL technology related programs. You will oversee a team of project managers, and/or project coordinators in the management of projects for a variety of business units and ensure consistent application of processes, achievement of project objectives, and the successful integration of program outcomes into the larger body of IT services.

  • You will define and manage Program scope, objectives and deliverables that support business goals for assigned groups in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. You will develop, manage, and validate full-scale program and participating projects' plans and associated communication documents
  • You will effectively communicate Program and project expectations to team members and stakeholders. You will set and continually manage program expectations with team members and other stakeholders
  • You will manage project interdependencies within the program and with other programs and reporting the dependencies to the proper audiences. You will develop plans to manage activities and ensure required controls are in place to complete the project deliverables within financial targets
  • You will identify and manage change requests that impact scope, risks, schedule, budget and ensure change requests are accurately tracked by overseeing the update of related project documents/artifacts. You will work with project managers to complete project closure, lessons learned, post implementation plans, plans for transfer to operations
  • You will work with Procurement team to define vendor/software selection approach and participate in selection process. You will lead and participate in steering committee and stakeholder meetings, providing regular Program status reports as required by sponsors and the PPMO
  • You will manage effective Relationships with Senior Leadership Team and program and project stakeholders

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Information Technology and:
  • You have a University Degree majoring in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • You have a minimum of 8+ years' work experience in IT Project Management including all aspects of project life cycle and execution. (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
  • You have working knowledge of various technology systems such as Finance, Payroll, Time and Attendance, Master Data Management, Retail Merchandising System, and infrastructure related programs/projects
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) or other relevant PMI certifications may be an asset. PMP certification is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
  • You have a strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project and experience in people management
  • You're honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
