The Fastener Program Manager leads the development of robust quality, timing, and weight efficient designs that meet program objectives as related to fasteners. This individual will be responsible for the following:

• Drive innovation/communization/standardization strategies
• Maintain a torque list and report out on joint reviews and joint testing status to management as well as program teams.
• Monitor and report out on PF safety compliance.
• Develop, maintain, and report out to program teams the release status of fasteners (released vs disclosed vs undisclosed)
• Work w/manufacturing on torque tool reduction initiative
• Assist manufacturing with torque processing issues.
• Facilitate EHPV reductions when possible.
• Work with manufacturing engineering to ensure that manufacturing has the data needed to order and receive the correct fastening tool in time to meet program timing.

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 5 years of engineering or manufacturing experience which at least 3 years of that involving fasteners
• Fastened joint design review experience.
• Fastener manufacturing knowledge/experience
• Ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to read and understand component drawings and GD&T
• Ability to download data from multiple systems into Excel to produce usable reports.

• Fastener selection/recommendation experience
• Powertrain component releasing
• System calibration experience
• Fastener assembly equipment experience
