As a member of our team, the successful candidate will perform as Program Manager (PM) of an International Program in the Combat Systems Integration portfolio.
The PM is the primary manager overall responsible for all aspects of program execution including cost, schedule and performance. They are the primary customer interface and entrusted to manage all aspects of that relationship. They have excellent communication and people skills to keep all stakeholders appraised on status and other issues.
Assume responsibility as Program Manager
Overall responsible for cost, performance, and schedule of the program
Overall accountable for profit and loss on the program
Lead a multi-disciplinary staff on the program
Primary interface to the customer, senior management, and other stakeholders
Control program within specified program processes
Support new business acquisition with the accountability to execute the programs as bid
Oversee the execution of the existing program within the program constraints
Conduct personnel management and employee development functions including: performance management, career coaching, talent development, and labour charging oversight.
What you bring to the role
Hold Secret clearance or ability to obtain
The candidate will have an appropriate degree from an accredited university (e.g. Engineering, Business, Science, etc.), or equivalent experience/combined education, along with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with the assignment in the Naval Combat Systems domain including Combat system integration in the Naval Domain
Formal PM training is required
LM Project Management Skills Assessment Level 1
Must have excellent organization skills and an analytical ability to develop and deliver concise presentations
5 years of experience in complex program management
Risk Management experience
A strong operating knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)
Must be able to establish and maintain relationships
Results oriented with an ability to deliver
Ability to lead a team
Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors; possess positive attitude; creates and sustain inclusive work environment
Ability to influence change at all levels of the organization.
Outstanding communication skills
Ability and willingness to travel
Additional skills desired for the role
Proven management experience on Naval Design and Build Projects
Experience in identifying areas of process improvement
CMS 330 product familiarity
Experience on Canadian or International defence projects
Experience leading a CMS 330 CSI multi-disciplinary team
Extensive work experience within a major, international defence contractor
Domain experience in Naval Combat Systems and Systems Integration
LM Project Management Skills Assessment Level 2 or PMP certification
An understanding of the Canadian procurement system
Language Requirements in Quebec
Knowledge of the English language is required for this role as the position described in this posting requires the candidate to communicate every day with a virtual team outside Quebec as well as communicate with different members of the organization, clients and suppliers located outside of Canada. For engineering positions, the candidate must also be able to read or modify technical documents from our main clients and write technical documents for these same clients.
