We're looking for a Program Manager to take a leading role in advancing AMA's Corporate Purpose through our food security initiatives. In this role, you'll design, develop, and manage programs and experiences that strengthen trust in the AMA brand, support Alberta schools and communities, and help mobilize members and partners toward tangible, long-term impact.
Working closely with teams across AMA -- and with partners province-wide -- you'll bring our food security strategy to life through innovative programming including our school Garden studio program, community activations, and memorable in-person events. How You'll Make an ImpactLead the development, refinement, and project management of food security programs that advance AMA's Corporate Purpose. Design community programs, school tools, and experiential retail initiatives that strengthen AMA's Practically Family brand. Collaborate across Corporate Purpose pillars and with the AMA Community Foundation to align school programs, food security efforts, and community campaigns. Ensure strong, consistent brand expression across all program content, events, and rapid-response initiatives. Plan and execute experiential events, community activations, and in-person engagements that create meaningful connections with members, schools, and partner communities. Manage program budgets, timelines, KPIs, staffing needs, supplier relationships, and vendor coordination. Build and maintain strategic partnerships across Alberta that advance food security and shared community outcomes. Work closely with internal teams--including Communications, Marketing, Creative, Properties, Purchasing, Finance, Warehouse, and Business Intelligence--to deliver integrated programs and campaigns. Report on program performance, analyze trends, and prepare post-event evaluations to inform future strategies and continuous improvement. Identify opportunities to enhance engagement, including member opt-in data acquisition and increased participation from employees, leaders, and the AMA Board.

What You Bring to the TablePost-secondary education in Education, Program Management, Recreation Administration, or a related field (degree an asset), or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of progressive experience in event planning, program development, experiential marketing, brand management, communications, or recreation. Strong skills in designing educational experiences, leading experiential marketing/events, and managing vendors and contracts. Excellent communication, presentation, and brand representation abilities, with a collaborative and diplomatic approach to teamwork. Proven leadership capability, including inspiring others, supporting volunteers, and fostering colleagues' development. Strategic understanding of food security, paired with strong analytical skills to inform program recommendations and deepen community impact.
