Program Manager
who combines heart for community health with the strategic mindset to grow our reach and funding base.
The Opportunity
This is not a maintenance role -- it's a growth role.
The
Program Manager
will lead the development, coordination, and expansion of Alberta Lung's health and community programs. You'll build relationships with government, researchers, and funders to strengthen our impact and sustainability.
We're looking for someone who's creative, well-connected, and eager to help double our revenue and extend our reach to more Albertans living with respiratory disease.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Partnership Development
Build relationships with
government departments
(Alberta Health, Alberta Health Services, Alberta Environment, Municipal Affairs, etc.) and other health organizations.
Represent Alberta Lung at provincial networks, policy discussions, and community health forums.
Identify new partnership and funding opportunities aligned with lung health priorities.
Grant & Revenue Development
Research and secure grants from government, health foundations, and corporations.
Prepare persuasive proposals and budgets that align with Alberta health priorities.
Support diversification of funding -- sponsorships, pilot projects, and social enterprise models.
Program Oversight & Innovation
Manage Alberta Lung's core programs: radon awareness, air quality, tobacco reduction, and respiratory support initiatives.
Evaluate program effectiveness, track outcomes, and lead continuous improvement.
Identify emerging needs in lung health and design creative program responses.
Community Engagement
Strengthen Alberta Lung's presence across communities by connecting with patients, caregivers, health professionals, and researchers.
Support public awareness campaigns and events that promote lung health and prevention.
Qualifications
Degree in
Public Health, Health Promotion, Environmental Health, Science, or a related field
(Master's an asset).
Minimum
5 years' experience
in health program management, community engagement, or non-profit leadership.
Proven success securing
government and foundation grants
.
Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.
Understanding of
respiratory or chronic disease health issues
.
Strategic, creative, and highly organized; thrives in a small but ambitious team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
