The Role: Program Manager - Kickstand Hub (Full-time)




Trellis Society is seeking a Program Manager for a developing Kickstand Hub in Wheatland County. This role will cultivate and maintain relationships with community organizations and individuals to provide comprehensive services for young people aged 11-25, including primary care, mental health support, social services, and Indigenous cultural programs. Based in Strathmore, the position will expand services throughout Wheatland County through affiliate sites and mobile services.

This full-time position (37.5 hours/week) requires flexibility for evening and weekend work, plus regular travel within the area and occasional travel across the province. The successful candidate will primarily be based at our Strathmore location.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Proactively identify and engage service providers to deliver core programs on-site and through outreach Develop andmaintainformal partnership agreements, managing relationships with service providers to ensure effective program delivery and integration Oversee integrated service delivery, ensuring programs meet legislative requirements and model standards Lead regular provider meetings to enhance service pathways, address challenges, and improve client outcomes Monitor community needs and feedback to adapt service offerings, with particular focus on accessibility for rural youth Maintain comprehensive records of partner agreements, communications, and deliverables for effective contract management Represent Trellis Society at provincial Kickstand Implementation Team meetings, ensuring effective coordination and information sharing between provincial initiatives and local operations Support staff with complex service situations, including risk assessment and safety planning Plan and coordinate special initiatives and community engagement events Provide regular progress updates to Trellis leadership on program development, challenges, and growth opportunities

Knowledge and Skill Expectations:



Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Social Services or related field, combined with relevant experience in community-based service delivery; equivalent combinations of training and experience will be considered Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search and Child Intervention Record Check Valid driver's license and access to reliable vehicle for travel within the region Deep understanding of local community dynamics and established connections in the Strathmore/Wheatland County area

Core Competencies:

Demonstrated experience in leading teams and delivering measurable outcomes Proven ability to work autonomously in an emerging initiative with limited established processes Strong track record of building and maintaining effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders Experience implementing integrated service delivery models and evidence-informed practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new database systems

Knowledge and Experience:

Understanding of harm reduction and trauma-informed practice Experience analyzing community needs and adapting service delivery accordingly Knowledge of supervision models and staff development practices Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning Understanding ofTrellisorganizational mission, strategic priorities, and policies

Reporting Relationship:


This position directly reports to a Trellis Program Director.
