Position Summary

? Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Manager will develop and implement policies and procedures consistent with the mission statement and goals of MHPPSS. This is a high-energy, attention to detail position in which the Program Manager has the primary role to ensure the MHPPSS program components are relevant, informative, and support the MHPPSS families with secure living, parenting programs, life skills education and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities

? Builds curriculum for in house programming. This includes partnerships with community service agencies which can serve both the in-house programs and additionally helps establish lasting relationships for future needs of the MHPPSS families.

? Provides leadership and training to MHPPSS staff members and volunteers for all in-house training and recommends areas for external training to meet the needs of the MHPPSS clients and community.

? Establishes excellent working relationships with Guelph and area agencies for the on-going enhancement of MHPPSS programs and housing coordination for our graduates.

? Provides a pivotal role in working with the Governance Committee to recommend [LB1] and ensure [LB2] all programming policies and procedures are both accurate and relevant.

Qualifications

? College or University Educational Background in Social Work or a related field.

? Must have proven organizational, communication and administrative skills.

? Work and/or volunteer experience in assisting women who are pregnant and parenting struggling with complex issues or similar experience with other vulnerable sector people.

? Works both independently and excels in management of others.

? Wisely and consistently implements and makes recommendations for updates to policy and/or procedures

? Provides upon offer of employment, a current Vulnerable Person Check.

Pay: $35,500.00-$36,500.00 per year
