The Opportunity:



We are looking for a

Program Liaison Specialist

to join our growing

Planning and Logistics team

. This is a new role, created to support the expansion of our Student Nutrition Programs (SNPs), enabling us to provide even greater support to the communities we serve. You will be a central point of contact for the schools receiving nutritional support and will assist in ensuring that the support in terms of product quantities and product mix align with school needs and nutrition program infra-structure. Working with Pantry Supply Chain, the SNP Coordinators and the schools you are accountable for providing assistance, information, and support to schools regarding TFSS products and services.

As part of the organizations Planning Team and reporting to the Senior Planner, your duties include answering inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring school nutrition program satisfaction through effective communication, problem-solving and collaboration with internal functions such as Communications, Procurement and SNP Coordinators.

This role is central to the school communications process and is the face of the organization to the schools with respect to quality of products and nutrition services.

Duties and Responsibilities



Handle incoming calls, emails, or other inquiries from schools, and maintain accurate records of the interactions including the application of CDS and case management or the use of Excel, as appropriate.

Issue menu updates according to the agreed weekly cycles and manage responses from schools, ensuring minor adjustments are made "in cycle". Raise the prospects of more permanent changes to Procurement and the SNP Team for resolution.

Make adjustments to deliveries and provide menu and product mix recommendations.

Analyze and interpret data from schools and business processes to identify trends and opportunities for workflow improvements that align with the organization's strategic goals.

Diagnose what feed-back is being received from schools in order to highlight trends and the potential need for more systemic change to the menus. Do this in collaboration with the SNP Team and the Procurement Team.

Follow-up on all delivery service-related opportunities such as late deliveries, missed deliveries, improper drop points at schools, etc.

Obtain and examine all relevant information to assess the nature of school concerns or opportunities for improvement in order to determine possible causes. Do this in partnership with the SNP Team.

Ensure an appropriate delivery service-related quality tracking system is in place and manage the tracking system for trend analysis and problem-solving opportunities.

Working with the Senior Planner and Procurement team, align program needs/menus and SNP feed-back and intelligence with available supply options for the programs. This includes collaboration with Procurement to introduce appropriate variety and substitutions.

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:



Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to address and resolve issues - active listening skills.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), empathy, and the ability to navigate customer service platforms are essential.

2 years of experience in supply and delivery coordination.

Customer service and planning experience is highly desirable.

Post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, business administration or a related field is desirable.

Able to work independently and exercise sound judgment, including when to escalate issues.

Experience in food distribution and knowledge of food handling and nutrition programs is an asset.

Work location, Compensation and Hours



This role will work in our primary office location 201 Gracefield Ave, North York.

The work hours are Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.

Eligible to participate in TFSS hybrid (remote/in-office) work program

Three weeks' vacation plus a comprehensive benefits package

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
