The Schwartz/Reisman Centre is looking for dynamic, talented, enthusiastic instructors to join our Children and Family Program team to facilitate programs for children ages 2 to 16 in the following areas:

Robotics

Hip Hop

Early Years Sports (under 6yrs)

Chess

Are YOU our ideal JCC Program Instructor?

Reporting to the manager of Children and Family programming, in this role, you will help young participants grow confidence in various recreational skills and make an impact on the community. Key areas of responsibilities include:

Design and deliver age-appropriate, inclusive lesson plans for youth across a variety of program areas.

Teach foundational knowledge and practical skills in your area of expertise

Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment tailored to varying abilities.

Provide thoughtful feedback to support participant growth and track progress over time.

Maintain accurate attendance and program records.

Ensure proper use and maintenance of all program-related equipment and spaces.

Foster positive communication with participants, families, and fellow staff.

Support the organization of special events, showcases, or tournaments where applicable.

What do you bring?

2+ years of experience teaching in a formal, informal, or recreational setting; expertise in program specialty

A passion for working with children and youth, ability to adapt instruction for various skill levels.

Availability for

evenings and weekends programs

(specific hours vary by program).

Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.

Ability to manage a classroom, maintain safety standards, and collaborate with a team.

Familiarity of inclusive teaching practices and experience supporting diverse learners is an asset.
