Program Executive, Canadian Immunization Research Network

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, CCfV, and the Nominated Principal Investigator, the CIRN Program Executive provides support and leadership to a national 'network of networks', while accomplishing strategic network objectives.
Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all facets of program development and delivery, including assisting with grand proposal writing, through planning, budgeting, implementation, evaluation, and report writing.
  • Lead and liaise with a virtual team of project managers across the Network by providing direction, input, and feedback, as well as leading and managing an internal team of administrative and project management staff.
  • Facilitate internal and external communication.
  • Plan, organize, and execute annual meetings, conferences, and scientific meetings.
  • Facilitate successful completion of annual reports (writing, design, production), assist with manuscript writing, and writing and disseminating mid-term/annual reports for the funding agency (or on a per need basis).
  • Alongside the Finance Director, prepare and summarize budget reports for the NPI and/or Network leaders.
Note

The successful applicant will primarily work remotely, with occasional presence in-person on-campus to meet client needs and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in health administration, project management or health services fieldwith a minimum of 5 years of related experience within a university, hospital, or comparable environment. Knowledge of federal, provincial, and other private/public funding agencies. Experience writing, editing, and reviewing grant submissions and other academic material, as well as experience in research administration and program coordination in an academic environment, or related health sciences. Excellent project management experience, as well as demonstrable experience providing budget management and reporting oversight. Previous supervisory experience. Core qualifications in health research, program evaluation, health management research methodologies and policy development. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be capable of working with diverse populations and operating effectively, tactfully, and diplomatically with a diverse range of internal and external constituents.
