About the Role:The prime objective of the Early Learning Program Developer is to assist the Manager of Early Learning and Child CareWhat you will be doing:
  • Developing client services and program delivery for ELCC Special Projects
  • Facilitate, coordinate stakeholder engagement
  • Provide overall operational/administrative assistance to the project
  • Develop project initiatives
  • Collaboratively work with MNO staff, MNO leadership, MNO Citizens, potential industry and government partners, and MNO contractors as required.
  • Effectively oversee the day-to-day assigned project activities
  • Assist clients with Early Learning programs and services
  • Complete assigned project tasks, monitor project progress and ensure milestones and deadlines are adhered to
  • Assist with new proposal and project development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation
  • Foster teamwork and co-operation
  • Collaboratively work with MNO staff, potential industry and government partners, and MNO contractors on project initiatives
  • Use office software and hardware to communicate and collaborate with Mxc3xa9tis Citizens, MNO staff, and contractors
  • Assist in the coordination of the processing of financial administrative and operational procedures (i.e., purchase orders, expense claims, bill back submissions and purchase card reconciliation)
  • Travel to communities across Ontario to attend meetings and events. This may require overnight stays in the community and a varied work schedule
  • Deliver workshops and presentations to Mxc3xa9tisCitizens virtually and in communities when directed
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for meetings, training, and events (location, travel arrangements, etc.)
  • Report back on meetings and events attended (briefing notes)
  • Maintain an effective, confidential, and accountable filing system
  • Use case noting software to record, track and maintain up to date client files
  • Gather project statistics as directed, establish, and maintain spreadsheets
  • Provide input and oversight to the development of work plans and projects
  • Outreach and build relationships with Mxc3xa9tis families and externalstakeholders as required
  • Engage, develop, and maintain strong relationships with partners
  • Promote Mxc3xa9tis culture
  • Assist with the development of outreach and marketing material for program delivery and promotion
  • Provide input and oversight on internal and external resource development
  • Fulfill all other responsibilities as determined by Manager of Early Learning and Childcare
Qualifications:
  • Post-Secondary education and/or 3 to 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience working in an office environment or in an administrative role within an Early Childhood Program minimum of two yearsxe2x80x99 experience in event coordination, budgeting, program delivery and reporting, preferably in a non-profit setting
  • Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic/experience requirements
  • Registered Early Childhood Educator designation from the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators would be an asset
  • Well-developed administrative, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of program administration, budgeting/financial management, program planning, and coordinating
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education, child care licensing, ministry documents and policy involving Early Childhood Education would be an asset
  • Demonstrated results-oriented skills and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of tact and discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to present, facilitate and run virtual and in person events
  • Strong knowledge and application of keyboarding, Microsoft Office suite, various databases
  • Work effectively both independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to travel, at times in a rental vehicle, may be required
  • Available to travel for extended periods of time at locations other than local workplace
  • Ability to work flexible hours when required
