The Program Lead/Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of SCSs cardiac rehabilitation services. This role will involve working closely with healthcare professionals, community members, and volunteers to ensure the successful delivery of programs tailored to the needs of Salmon Arm. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for community health, and experience in program coordination within a healthcare or non-profit setting.Program Development and Implementation:
Design and develop cardiac rehabilitation programs that meet the specific needs of the Salmon Arm community.
Coordinate with healthcare providers to integrate medical care and rehabilitation services.
Oversee the scheduling and execution of rehabilitation sessions, workshops, and community events.
Leadership and Management:
Lead a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, support staff, and volunteers.
Provide training, guidance, and support to staff and volunteers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Monitor program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
Community Engagement:
Foster strong relationships with community members, local organizations, and stakeholders.
Promote the program through community outreach, presentations, and media engagement.
Encourage community participation and support for cardiac health initiatives.
Administrative Duties:
Manage program budgets, resources, and funding.
Maintain accurate records and reports on program activities, outcomes, and participant progress.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and best practices in cardiac rehabilitation.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, public health, nursing, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in program coordination or management within a healthcare or non-profit organization.
Strong understanding of cardiac rehabilitation principles and practices.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.
Experience in rural health or community-based programs is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
Possesses or is a candidate to obtain full ACSM/CSEP certification of Clinical Exercise Physiologist.
