POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Centre Director and working in collaboration with the Director of Quality, the
Program Coordinator (RECE)
is responsible for overseeing curriculum implementation and enhancing educational practices across all programs. This role includes coaching educators, supporting professional development, conducting classroom observations, and ensuring compliance with Ministry standards. The Program Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining high-quality, inclusive learning environments that reflect the Childventures philosophy.
This is an on-site position located at our Burlington campus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Guide curriculum implementation across all classrooms to ensure consistency and alignment with Childventures' philosophy
Mentor educators in lesson planning, classroom management, and developmental best practices
Conduct classroom observations to evaluate curriculum quality and educator engagement
Provide feedback and coaching that supports growth and excellence in teaching practices
Facilitate curriculum meetings and professional development sessions for educators
Collaborate with the Director of Quality on program assessments and continuous improvement initiatives
Stay current with early childhood education research and integrate new strategies where appropriate
Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children and staff
Other duties as assigned to support centre and educational goals
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Certification
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized Ontario college
Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE)
Valid Food Handler Certificate is an asset
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience working in early childhood education
Experience across multiple age groups is an asset
Knowledge & Skills
Deep understanding of CCEYA regulations and Ministry compliance standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to create reports, presentations, and documents efficiently.
Strong leadership, organization, and interpersonal communication skills
