YWCA's PowerUP small business training programs support new and existing women entrepreneurs with one-on-one coaching, self-employment exploration, business plan training and digital adoption.

Develops, coordinates, supports and promotes the YWCA PowerUP program, The Program Coordinator provides administrative and logistical support in the day-to-day operations of the entrepreneurship program to support the successful implementation of its major goals and objectives. This position assists the operations of the program and provides the logistics for all Program internal and external workshop and training events.


What you'll be doing:




Plan and coordinate the PowerUp entrepreneurship training suite with Business Advisor Provide project support through the execution of project plans with clear timelines, and cross-functional collaboration to the team successfully delivers on stated outcomes Facilitate weekly information sessions and workshops 1:1 client coaching and advisory Plan, coordinate and host high-impact women entrepreneurship training events, including events with local successful women entrepreneurs Facilitates community outreach, intake and recruitment for PowerUP entrepreneurship training programs Serve as a resource in the recruitment of new entrepreneurs and managing communication with current and former entrepreneurs. Promotes and markets the PowerUP program, working with the YWCA marketing department Able to take direction and complete tasks on tight deadlines. Focused, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Provide feedback reports and updates as required Submit program expenses, ensuring each program component meets budget parameters outlined in the collaboration agreement. Collects, reviews and evaluates programming results and success stories from participants and stakeholders Adheres to appropriate systems to ensure monitoring of projects and initiatives in compliance with work schedules, outcomes and participant requirements Nurtures and maintains relationships with entrepreneurs, partners, and volunteers Understands emerging trends, leading practices, industry professional standards Supports YWCA Metro Vancouver mission, vision and values Perform other duties as required

What you'll need:




Must have an undergraduate degree, preferable in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Education or in a related field or a combination of related work and academic experience Superior technology skills and experience using MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), Zoom, Canva Experience working with external stakeholders and an understanding of the importance of growing those relationships Passion for inclusive entrepreneurship and developing the economic prosperity of women Event planning and management experience Established ability to work well with diverse individuals in a wide variety of positions Must be able to work from a feminist, anti-racist/anti-oppressive perspective Excellent verbal and written communication skills A valid clear criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required.

Pay Rate:

$31.16 per hour
