Maingate Islamic Academy is a private elementary school, which ranges from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 and is fully registered with the Ministry of Education. One of the key strengths of our institution is the importance we place on cultivating a positive learning environment both Islamically and academically. We believe a positive atmosphere can tremendously influence a student's ability and willingness to acquire, demonstrate, and participate in learning. Maingate Islamic Academy is an educational establishment which follows the Ontario curriculum and incorporates Islamic Development Curriculum. We are currently seeking a full-time Program Coordinator. The duties are as below:
General Description
The Program Coordinator plans and executes the school's programs. The successful candidate will perform administrative duties and create experiences for staff and students.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
:
Valid University Degree or diploma in the field of business or social media marketing
- A project management certificate is preferable
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role preferably in the education sector
Hands on experience in budgeting, bookkeeping and reporting
Proficient in MS Office programs
Skills Needed:
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal English communication skills
Excellent Islamic Knowledge is required
Adept with video editing software like Final Cut Pro
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
Organization and prioritization

Duties:
Planning, organizing and supervising all school events
Creating the monthly calendar and newsletters
Regularly creating branded advertising campaigns
Analyzing the analytics for each social media platform
Creating videos for Maingate event highlights
Actively posting on Maingate social media
Maintaining website and creating new pages as required
Creating graphics for social media posts like invitations, brochures, advertisements, newsletters, reports and other materials as required
Inner-Islamic school competitions & competitions with other schools.
Monthly assemblies (character Trait assemblies, religious assemblies, career assembly and teacher of the month assembly)
Making purchases for school events
Facilitate the extra-curricular activities
Book Guest Speakers from the community
Hot Lunches and before and after school programs
Ensure all teachers participate monthly in at least ONE extra-curricular activity
Ensure halaqahs are in place daily after salat
Apply for grants throughout the year & funding/sponsorships
Setting up fundraisers
Vending machine monitoring through purchases and serving students item requests
Extracurricular Monthly financial reports
Assist in technical training for staff
Other tasks upon request
